Angier Elementary Spring Volleyball Program 2026
Is your 5th grader interested in trying out for middle school volleyball?
Our afterschool program is back! It’s the perfect way to learn the basics, build confidence, and develop a team-first mindset before tryouts!
This program is offered at no cost and open to 5th grade girls at AES. We will introduce essential volleyball skills, game rules, and emphasize the importance of teamwork and a positive mindset—giving young athletes a strong foundation and a head start in the sport. We’re committed to creating more access and exposure for volleyball in our local community, ensuring every child has the opportunity to play!
Sessions begin right after the last bell and end promptly at 5 pm.

This program is sponsored by Panther Volleyball Training with the intention to give children in Harnett/Wake County more access to learn the skills to thrive in the sport and become exceptional athletes and teammates.
-
Students must be prepared to participate in each practice. Participants must demonstrate responsibility by attending practices, bringing all items needed to play, and listening for and following instructions. Participants must demonstrate a positive attitude by being respectful to coaches and adult volunteers, speaking kindly to other students, and by giving their best effort during each practice.
If a student cannot participate in school activities due to behavior issues, they are not permitted to participate in after school events during their suspension period.
-
Students will need to wear knee pads, socks, athletic sneakers shorts/pants, and shirt. Students who are not wearing appropriate footwear (sandals, dress shoes, etc) will not be allowed to practice due to safety concerns.
-
Be sure to bring your knee pads on practice days and wear the appropriate shoes and clothing. A water bottle is definitely a plus. We will be working hard.
-
If the student normally takes the bus or is a car rider, they are to remain at the school after dismissal to participate in this program. Parents and guardians of participants will receive a Car Rider Pickup Tag specific to this activity. Please be advised: students who normally ride the bus will need to be picked up at the school along with car riders at 4:30.
-
When picking up a child, parents will line up outside in the carpool loop beside the fence. They must have their car rider tag. Students will be called to each car as normal.
-
Parents are encouraged to send a note with the child to communicate with program administrators. Parents may also email info@panthervolley.com
Phone calls to the school related to this Panther Volleyball Outreach Program should be only for emergency situations.
